Donald Marshall Passes On
Hello Everyone.
I just received a call from Mr. Moon Tahn-il announcing that Donald passed
into the spirit world this morning at 6:00 am, Korean time. His body was
transferred to Seoul and will be flying to America tomorrow, together with
Ichiko. Rev. Yang (Continental Director for America) came to Wonju and
together with the Wonju Moksa-nim (Minister), arranged for a smooth
transition, after so many days of anguish.
In the end, Tahn-il noted:
"Donald waited, as it were, till Reverend Moon returned to Korea. May
Donald's passing represent one more important victory in our efforts to
expedite peace -- however shadowy it may seem at these times of militaristic
showdown -- and unification. Please rember Donald and Ichiko in your hearts
for the next 40 days. And beyond."
To his sisters, Betty and Nancy, and to other members of his immediate
family, our condolences we share, together with our pride in the exemplary
life and love that Donald manifested wherever he sojourned--and the life and
love that Donald shall surely manifest in the Kingdom Above.
To his family and close friends, we regret your loss (which is ours too)
and hope that you all might appreciate the greater significance of his
passing at this time, under these circumstances--that your loss might be
lightened by the knowledge of God's great love for Donald and for you all.
And we hope that you will call upon us at any time if we might be of
assistance to you, in some way.
We shall keep you and Ichiko san in our prayers, too, through this time of
transition; as we all try to internalize the providence of this past month
and the days ahead.
True Love to all,

Ohio brother passes to eternal home
Dear Brothers and sisters:
Our good brother Donald Marshall passed to our eternal home today March
10th at 4:15pm. (EST)
He had been in a coma since his heart attack during the Korean
mobilization. Please continue to pray for him and his wife Ichiko
Marshall. Donald knew that he had a heart problem before he went to Korea
but because Father asked America for 2400 members he wanted to go, he
knew the importance of the call, he went willingly!
I knew Don when he returned to the Ohio family church after a short time
away, he had seen one of my video tapes I had put on the local cable
access channel, he returned because he saw something about our Church and
Father, I realized how important it is to keep reaching out, you never
know who may need your helping hand.
Don was very happy when he found his eternal mate, Ichiko, I could see he
really changed and became a very happy fulfilled person. He really loved
and cared for his wife, infact, he cared and thought about many people in
our Church community, always thinking about them and how to serve them.
He will be missed! There will be a void at the Ohio family church.
When I first returned to my hometown, we both spent time selling flowers,
streets, bars, etc. and when we saw each other our
common phrase was we were "hitting the bricks" working hard, lugging
flowers, sweating and "hittin the bricks". This I will remember from
my brother, I will never forget that phrase, because we both knew what
the meaning was!
Let us all pray that his life and death be an offering for
the Unification of the Fatherland, he died on the front line serving God
and serving True Parents, he lived to see the day of "The Coronation of
the King" He lived to see that day, I'm sure he wouldn't have missed it
for the world!! God bless you Donald, someday we will meet again, in the
tall green grasses of heaven.
