Hello JP, If you want to unite your mind and body, you need to overcome your evil habits which keep you enslaved to sin and to Satan. You will need to pray earnestly, unceasingly, and make vigorous spiritual conditions in order to accomplish this. The key areas to work on are different for each person, but the primary ones are attachment to food, sleep and sexual desire. You must be master of your appetites and not let them be your master. If you are overweight, cut down on food until you get down to a more ideal weight. The Bible recommends fasting. It certainly works for weight loss. You can lose 10 pounds in three days of drinking only water. Do that a few times and you can lose all the weight you need. If you sleep more than about six hours a night, you need to discipline yourself to exercise more and sleep less. If you misuse your sexualilty in any way through masturbation, viewing pornography or raunchy movies, ogling women, reading sexually graphic novels, if you have sex with ANYONE outside of a marriage blessed by God, if you even have sex with your wife but with a selfish heart, if you are involved in ANY kind of sexual impurity, then Satan has a hook on you in this area, and this is Satan's favorite weapon. Your sexual organ then becomes your shackle to Satan, when it was intended as God's holy of holies in the temple of God which your body is intended to be. With the line connected to that shackle or hook or any of his other hooks in you, Satan maintains his hold on you, in this world and the next. You need to find those hooks and uproot them, even if you have to tear your flesh in the process. If you do not cling on to the Messiah, then Satan will surely drag you right into hell. If you want to come to God, then you have to fight this greatest holy war, this Jihad, to overcome the evil in yourself. Also, you must be master of your tongue and the words you speak. Do not speak, unless it is to further God's will. The apostle James spoke of the need to master your tongue, which has the power to create or destroy, through the power of your words:
If you want to know how Satan is keeping you enslaved, then you have to pray desperately so that God will have the condition to reveal this to you. Jesus paid the price to free our spirits from Satan, but we have to exercise our own willpower to expel Satan from our own flesh. True Parents led the way in redeeming our bodies which was promised in the New Testament:
Once you know what you have to work on then you need to pray for the power to overcome whatever it is that binds you. Jesus spoke about this in the following passage:
You have to determine which is the strongest demon having a hold over your life and pray to God for the power to defeat it. Once you have done that, the rest of the demons are easier to master. Defeat them from strongest to weakest until Satan has no more claim and hold on your life, and then your mind and body will naturally unite, and God's power will flood into your body and He will claim your life, and heal your mind, your body, your heart and your soul. God will reclaim his rightful property when you expel the demonic squatters that you have allowed to take residence. Technology has nothing to do with it. However, God can use technology to disseminate the truth, and for that reason, God revealed the scientific secrets to humanity which gave rise to modern technology in the last 400 years or so since the Renaissance, which is unprecedented in the whole history of the human race. The Divine Principle teaches us that the religious life involves dividing ourselves between good and evil constantly, every day, every moment, examining our thoughts, words, deeds, attitude, motivation, purpose.
As the book of Revelation promises, he who overcomes will gain great blessings from God.
This is a quest, an impossible dream, worth striving for. Only now, because of the victory of True Parents, it is actually possible. It is worth all the tears and travail involved in its accomplishment, and then those bitter tears will be turned to joy. Sincerely, Damian Anderson
